[Commlist] call for chapters: Media Representations of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

*Supplementary Call for Chapters*:

/Media Representations of the Israeli-Palestinian 
Conflict/(*/Palgrave-Macmillan/*).

We welcome additional chapters to add to the collection.

Topical Areas Needed:

·Shifting media representation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and 
the newest approaches in mainstream media

·Discursive contextualisation of regional media representations of 
Israel/Palestine, i.e., chapters analysing the context and dynamics in which

      regional media discourses take shape

·Representations of lay Palestinians and Israelis living in Israel and 
the West Bank, and representations of Palestinians and Israelis living

      through emergency and conflict, in Gaza, Israel, or the West Bank 
(e.g. doctors, services, civilians – women and children), particularly from

      media located in Israel/Palestine or other regional areas

·Media constructions of Hamas, settlers, IDF, and other actors exerting 
violence on civilians in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

·Diaspora voices (Israeli, Palestinian) in news discourse, and their 
political views on Israel/Palestine

·Representations of protests and alternative views on Israel/Palestine 
in regional media

·Mainstream media representations of Israel/Palestine within shifting 
national identities and global powers

·Mainstream media and identity discourse in relation to Israel/Palestine

·Mainstream media representations of Israel and Palestine as nations

·Embedded discourses on the future of Israel/Palestine in mainstream media

·Discourses of peace and conflict transformation in the 
Israeli-Palestinian conflict

We particularly welcome contributions from

·Global South scholars

·Israeli and Palestinian scholars
