*Science Fiction Film and Television | Call for Co-Editors*
/_Science Fiction Film and Television <https://liverpooluniversitypress.co.uk/journal/sfftv>_/ encourages dialogue among the scholarly and intellectual communities of science fiction studies, film studies and television studies, and cultural studies. Founded by Mark Bould (UWE) and Sherryl Vint (University of California, Riverside), the journal is currently edited by Gerry Canavan (Marquette University), Alison Sperling (Florida State University), and Ida Yoshinaga (Georgia Institute of Technology), with an international board of advisory editors. The journal is seeking two new editors who can begin their role immediately upon selection.
**
*The Job*
The new Co-Editors will be expected to:

  *
    Proactively seek journal content through commissioning, including
    special issues and special sections.
  *
    Work generally with the other co-editors to maintain the academic
    and professional standards of contributions, and to encourage
    healthy submission and rejection rates.
  *
    Act as a point of contact for potential contributors.
  *
    Assist with peer review and suggest referees for submitted manuscripts.
  *
    Use the online submission system, ScholarOne Manuscripts.
  *
    Assist the co-editors and the publishers in targeting potential
    contributors, readers and subscribers via academic institutions,
    governmental and non-governmental organizations, and academic and
    professional communities.
  *
    Represent the journal at conferences and other academic and
    professional meetings.


*The Selection Process*
Applications should include the following information:

  *
    name and contact details
  *
    your previous practical experience with editing a journal, including
    using online submission systems
  *
    your ideas for developing /SFFTV/
  *
    other points in support of your application
  *
    a CV, with names and contact details of two references.


We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who research interests are in Black film and Black speculative fiction, or in transpacific cultural exchange, including animation and/or video games. Specialization in media studies and/or in global speculative TV or film are also desirable.
