[Commlist] Call for Book Chapters | Media and Marginalisation in the Global South (Routledge/Springer)

We are pleased to share a Call for Chapters for an upcoming edited 
volume titled:
*Media and Marginalisation: Gender, Childhood, and Vulnerable Identities 
in the Global South*

*Editors:* Dr. Sana Ali (BCU & AIOU) and Dr. Saadia Anwar Pasha (AIOU)

*Publisher:* Under consideration by Routledge and Springer Cham
This volume explores the ways media represent — or misrepresent — 
vulnerable and marginalised communities, including women, children, 
refugees, and ethnic minorities in the Global South. It aims to spark 
critical dialogue across disciplines and amplify underrepresented voices 
in media scholarship.

We invite submissions on topics including but not limited to:

  *
    Gendered media narratives and stereotypes
  *
    Media ethics and trauma reporting
  *
    Refugee representation and digital storytelling
  *
    Data journalism and hidden voices
  *
    Islamophobia, racism, and media complicity

*Abstract Deadline:* 15 June 2025
*Notification:* 31 July 2025
*Chapter Length:* 6500–7000 words (inlcuding references)

We welcome early-career researchers, practitioners, and scholars from 
diverse backgrounds.
