The Journal of Global Perspectives in Communication and Media (JGPCM) is 
pleased to announce a call for papers for its second volume, focusing 
specifically on communication and media in India. As an open-access, 
peer-reviewed academic journal, we are dedicated to fostering innovative 
and impactful scholarship that examines communication, media, and 
cultural dynamics across diverse contexts.

For this issue, we seek submissions that critically engage with the 
unique communication landscapes of India. Suggested topics include, but 
are not limited to:

  *

    Digital Communication: The role and impact of digital and social
    media platforms in shaping India’s cultural and political discourses.

  *

    Mass Media: Analysis of Indian mass media institutions and their
    societal influence.

  *

    Journalism and News Media: Investigating ethics, practices, and
    challenges faced by journalists in India’s rapidly evolving media
    environment.

  *

    General Media Studies: Broad explorations of India's media systems
    and their implications on society.

  *

    Interdisciplinary Research: Studies bridging media/communication
    with other disciplines, exploring intersections such as politics,
    technology, and culture.

We welcome submissions that employ diverse methodological approaches, 
including qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, and theoretical 
explorations. Interdisciplinary perspectives and case studies are highly 
encouraged.

Submission Guidelines:

    Manuscripts should not exceed 8,000 words, including references and
    appendices.

  *

    All submissions must adhere to APA 7th edition formatting guidelines.

  *

    Articles must be original and not under consideration for
    publication elsewhere.

    Submission Deadline: August 1, 2025

    Notification of Acceptance: August 8, 2025

    Publication Date: October 1, 2025
