[Commlist] CFP - Communicative Resilience: Civil Society's Response to Information Disorders (Partecipazione e Conflitto, SJR Q2)

Wed Sep 04 08:34:42 GMT 2024

We would like to inform you about the special issue that the journal /Partecipazione e Conflitto/ (SJR Q2 in Sociology and Political Science) will dedicate to ‘Communicative Resilience: Civil Society's Response to Information Disorders’. The main objective of this issue is to explore how social movements, through new technological platforms and different media practices, respond to institutional mistrust, polarisation of  social debates and incitement to violence.

We therefore invite empirical or theoretical, multidisciplinary contributions that address communicative resilience in issues such as gender-based violence, migration, climate change, war, and conflict.

Papers should be written in English. The publication schedule for the issue is as follows:

15th December 2024 - Submission of long abstracts (700 - 1000 words), including a description of the research topic, a justification of why it responds to one of the thematic lines of the special issue, a statement of the sample and methodology used, and a presentation of the results obtained.

20th January 2025 - Notification of accepted papers.

2th May 2025 - Submission of articles (8000-10,000 words).

30th September 2025 - Submission of peer review comments.

30th November 2025 - Submission of revised drafts.

The publication in PACO is free of charge.

All information about the Call for Papers - including the thematic lines and the submission system - can be found at the following link: http://siba-ese.unisalento.it/index.php/paco/announcement/view/177
