[Commlist] Call for FILMS open for EASA2022
Tue Dec 21 19:53:18 GMT 2021
The European Association of Social Anthropologists invites
anthropological and documentary film submissions to be screened during
its 17th Biennial Conference, which will be held in a hybrid format both
online and at Queens University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, from the
26 - 29 July 2022.
This year’s conference theme is “Transformation, Hope and the Commons”
This theme opens a space to explore engagements with past and future,
how individuals and groups experience continuities and frictions and the
ways in which hope, change and creativity are perceived as guidance and
capability. In line with the wider theme of the conference, we thus
encourage submissions of anthropological films from a wide variety of
cinematographic methods and approaches that stimulate a reflexive and
undogmatic analysis of political, economic and environmental narratives,
calling also for new types of authorships or sociocultural expressions.
Please read about the submission procedure on EASA2022 Call for films
page

The Call will close on 14 February 2022.
Please circulate the call among colleagues in anthropology, film studies
and beyond.
