[Commlist] cfp: Conference on Religion and Film

We would like to draw your attention to the call for papers for the 2020 Conference on Religion and Film. This conference is organized by the Faculty of Religion & Theology of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, in collaboration with the Journal of Religion and Film, and taking place from June 10 until June 12 at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The conference focuses on the topic of /Visions of a Better World: Film and the Politics of Lived Religion/. Keynote speakers are /John Lyden/, Professor of Liberal Arts at Grand View University, Iowa (USA) and /Sheila Nayar/, Professor of English, Communication and Media Studies at Greensboro College, North Carolina (USA).

All contributions on film and religion are welcomed, but we especially encourage scholars who explore the field of film and religion from a lived religion perspective to send in a proposal for a paper presentation.
