We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for the
‘Global Colour and the Moving Image’ conference. The event will explore
how colour film has operated in relation to different countries and
contexts since the 1950s with papers covering a wide range of national
and international perspectives.
The conference is hosted by the AHRC project ‘The Eastmancolor
Revolution and British Cinema, 1955-1985’ between the University of
Bristol and University of East Anglia in an attempt to reach a greater
understanding of the multiple, comparative complexities of global colour
and the moving image.
We are very pleased to welcome our keynote speakers**Professor Barbara
Flueckiger (University of Zurich) and**Professor Ranjani Mazumdar
(Jawaharlal Nehru University).**Both speakers have contributed
extensively to the study of colour through research into technology,
aesthetics and screen histories, and their papers address these
conference themes.
