Mon Apr 15 21:46:32 GMT 2019

After years of European initiatives in investigating and experimenting with approaches to incorporate and anticipate societal needs and expectations better in research and innovation -- be it under the labels of *Social Innovation, Responsible Research and Innovation* (RRI), *Open Science*, or the *Impact Agenda *in the UK -- European science policy is now moving to the next stage, also (or even explicitly) by looking beyond our continent, by means of case studies and research collaborations with Argentina and Australia, China and South Africa, to mention just a few.

If you would like to be part of the discourse about these different future “Pathways to Transformation“, you are most warmly invited to *register /for free/* at this watershed conference *_http://pathways2019.eu_*

*Experts and policy-makers from around the world*, are going to discuss the role of publicly-funded research and privately-funded innovation to drive more sustainable futures. Numerous research-performing organisations worldwide will share their experiences with culture-change initiatives and governance reform. Science policy makers and research funders are going to respond, for instance with regard to incentivising stakeholders to contribute to more responsive science and innovation systems.

*When: *20-21 June 2019

*Where: *the EU capital Brussels, precisely in a beautiful Art Deco conference venue called /Le Plaza/

*Costs: *Participation is for free until registration closes (which will probably be later this this month)
