*LSE One Day Symposium: Migration and the Digital City***
*29**^th ****March 2019***
The symposium brings together a very interesting group of scholars
working on migration in the city and/or migrant digital communication
and marks the nearing end of the research project /Digital Makings in
the City of Refuge/ (PI: Myria Georgiou, Co-I: Suzanne Hall, Researcher:
Deena Dajani).
The keynote will be delivered by Professor Engin Isin (Queen Mary) on
“Decolonising Data Politics”. Other speakers include: Professor Marie
Gillespie (The Open University), Dr Koen Leurs (Utrecht University),Dr
Kevin Smets (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), Dr Tatiana Thieme (UCL;
Project Camps 2 Cities), and others, including the project team (Deena
Dajani, Myria Georgiou, Suzanne Hall) and the project’snon-academic
partners /Proboscis/ (Giles Lane) and /Counterpoints Arts/ (Marcia Chandra).
The symposium will run from 9:15am to 5:15pmat Fawcett House 9.04, LSE.
It is free to attend and open to all, but please register in advance by
