[Commlist] CFP - Voices of the voiceless: New challenges of mobilization and citizen engagement

2nd CALL FOR PAPERS

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (University of 
Bucharest, Romania), the Association of Trainers in Journalism and 
Communication (AFCOM) and the Lumière University Lyon 2 (France) 
organise the 7^th edition of the international conference 
* Understanding Transition. *This year the theme of the conference is 
*Voices of the voiceless: New challenges of mobilization and citizen 
engagement*. The conference will take place in September (11-12).

Presentations based on empirical research and on sound theoretical 
approaches are invited on topics such as:

Citizen engagement – analytical and methodological challenges

Citizen journalism

Digital activism

Cyber-protests

e-governance

Public engagement

Slacktivism

Crowdsourcing

New forms of organization-public relationship

Corporate citizenship

Social media crisis/ paracrises

New media as a device for education in citizenship

Any other topic related to the main theme of the conference.

*The conference languages are English and French.*
