The *Media Education Today: New challenges, new 
opportunities?* post-conference event 12^th July 2019 will be held in 
Segovia, Spain, sponsored by IAMCR's Media Education Research Section 
and with the participation of Universidad de Valladolid (Campus María 
Zambrano, Segovia). The aim of this post-conference is to take stock of 
media literacy education in 2019, over 35 years after the Grunwald 
Declaration, and at a time of cultural and political shifts in an era of 
populism and “post-truth.”

*Participation and registration*: A fee of 50 € (Euros) will cover 
registration and will include lunch and beverages for the day. The fee 
will be reduced to 30 € for IAMCR and UVA members, as well as for 
graduate students and colleagues from low-income countries.
