Creative Industries Journal

The scope of the Creative Industries Journal is global, primarily aimed at those studying and practicing activities that have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent, and that have a potential for wealth creation. These activities primarily take place in advertising, architecture, the art and antiques market, crafts, design, fashion, film, interactive leisure software, music, the performing arts, publishing, television and radio. We invite contributions from scholars, researchers and practitioners from around the world who wish to increase the understanding and development of these creative industries. In particular the journal is seeking original researched papers, case studies, work in progress (particularly from practitioners and research students), as well as reviews of conferences, proceedings, and reports. Creative Industries Journal on the ERA (Excellence in Research for Australia) List During 2008 the Australian Government announced the intention to introduce a new research quality and evaluation system entitled the Excellence in Research for Australia Initiative (ERA), to assess research quality within Australia's higher education institutions. The intention is to spot emerging areas where there are opportunities for development and further investment, and to identify areas within institutions and disciplines which may be classed as internationally competitive. We are therefore very pleased to announce that the Creative Industries Journal has been included in the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) list for 2010.
