[Commlist] 2026 Animex Research and Innovation Conference CFP

We are excited to announce that submissions are open for the 4^th 
 Annual Animex Research and Innovation Conference 2026!

This year we’ll be doing things a little differently with two separate 
events, one in-person and one online only on different dates. Plus, this 
year we will be publishing our first peer-reviewed conference proceedings.

The in-person event will take place here at Teesside University 
on  Wednesday 18 November 2026, and again be embedded into the main 
Animex Festival Program. The online only event will take place the 
following week Wednesday 25^November.

We invite submissions across a range of subjects that explore the 
expanding frontiers of animation and games, addressing both cutting‑edge 
technological developments and the wider cultural, ethical, and 
environmental contexts shaping contemporary practice.

Submissions will be via Open Review. You will need to create an account
