[Commlist] Cybioses summer session: “Create, Critique, Collaborate: Technology and Democracy”

*Please consider submitting an abstract or an artistic submission to the 
Cybioses summer session, part of the Nordic Summer University. Its theme 
is:*

*“Create, Critique, Collaborate: Technology and Democracy”*

*The location will be in Saulkrasti, Latvia, and it will be from 24-31 
July 2026. *

*For 9 years we have been bringing together art, technology and critique 
in a wide variety of ways. For example this winter session (last week, 
in Sweden) there were contributors from journalism, digital humanities, 
critical AI studies, STS, media, artistic research, post-colonial 
studies and more. There were 28 talks, 8 musical performances, 2 
installations, glass art and 3 canvases with silk embroidery. Each time 
it is deliberately very different, based on the participants and the 
location.*

*Please consider coming to spend time with us in Latvia. Grant deadline 
on the 14th of april, and abstracts on the 8 of May.*
