[Commlist] Open Position: Assistant or Associate Professor at the Department of Communication Design, Ozyegin University

The *Department of Communication Design* at O*zyegin University’s 
Faculty of Architecture and Design* invites applications for *two 
full-time faculty positions* at the *Assistant or Associate 
Professor* level, with an anticipated start date of *February 2026*.

Founded in 2013, the Department of Communication Design offers an 
interdisciplinary environment bridging visual, digital, and interactive 
media through both theoretical and practice-based approaches. The 
department emphasizes user/audience-centered content creation and 
explores contemporary practices in media, culture, and technology.

We are seeking candidates with a strong record in research and teaching 
who will contribute to our dynamic academic community and engage in both 
creative and scholarly production. Applicants should hold a *Ph.D. in a 
relevant field*—such as *Communication Design, Visual Communication 
Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Communication Studies, 
Visual Arts, Design Studies, Game Studies, or Performance Studies*—and 
demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  *

    *Core fields:* Basic Design, Typography, Interaction Design,
    Interface Design, Design History

  *

    *Multimedia fields:* Digital Design Processes, Video Production,
    Post-Production, Motion Graphics, Digital Illustration, Game Design,
    Digital Publishing Design, or Service Design

Candidates are expected to demonstrate commitment to *excellence in 
undergraduate and graduate teaching (course load: 3+2)*, to engage 
actively in *interdisciplinary research and collaboration*, and to 
maintain an *active research agenda* with publications in international 
peer-reviewed journals (SSCI, SCIE, AHCI, Scopus). Experience in 
*national or international research projects* is an asset.

*Responsibilities include:*

    Developing and teaching innovative undergraduate and graduate courses

  *

    Conducting high-impact research

  *

    Advising students and contributing to program development

  *

    Collaborating on interdisciplinary research projects

  *

    Developing research proposals for TÜBİTAK, Horizon, and ERC funding
    calls

  *

    Contributing to the university and academic community through
    service and leadership
