Ranked as the number one photography degree course in the UK for two
years running (Guardian League Tables, 2024 & 25), the course is growing
rapidly, built upon a rich blend of practice and theory, and a strong
focus on employability. The course embraces diverse approaches to
photography, encompassing a wide range of genres and empowering
student-led approaches to their practice. We are seeking to appoint a
Lecturer in Photography who is dynamic and visionary, with both creative
and technical expertise. Previous teaching experience is desirable, but
not essential.
The successful candidate will:
* Have the ability to teach across all levels of the course and feed
into curriculum development.
* Ideally possess a teaching qualification and/or HEA Fellowship,
though the university can also support applicants in attaining these
after starting. Industry experience is also highly valued.
* Be expected to understand the industry’s ever-changing landscape and
prepare graduates for opportunities within this growing sector.
