Call for Papers for the journal
"Versus"
Deadline: March 18, 2024
"Versus. Quaderni di Studi Semiotici" opens a call for papers for the
Research and Topics section. Contributions can be in Italian, English,
and French and must not exceed 45,000 characters, including spaces,
bibliography, and notes. Manuscripts must be submitted anonymously,
removing any references that could make authors recognizable (e.g.,
name, email, direct references to oneself or one's previous works) and
uploaded to the platform available at the address:
https://tinyurl.com/versus24 <https://tinyurl.com/versus24> , in .rtf or
.doc format (not .pdf); a file indicating authors' affiliation and
postal and electronic contact details must be uploaded separately. The
editorial guidelines to be followed are available here:

The Research and Topics section is an open section, without thematic
limitations. Only original articles from diverse study areas will be
considered, as long as they concern semiotic themes of relevance and
interest. Contributions can, therefore, be theoretical, historical, or
analytical, with analyses of specific case studies. Only articles of
quality, scientific excellence, originality, and semiotic relevance,
without precluding any epistemological orientation, will undergo a
double-blind peer review process.
Once the refereeing phase is positively passed, the articles will be
published in the early open-access section of the journal and then
included in issues 2/2024 and 1/2025. Acceptance of an article implies a
commitment by the authors not to publish it elsewhere and to wait for
the necessary time for its release on Versus. Authors also commit not to
publish parts of their work elsewhere without the explicit consent of
the publisher. The journal does not require any article processing charges.
The call is open until March 18, 2024.
