The Department of Media, Communications, Creative Arts, Language and
Literature (MCCALL) is seeking to appoint a highly qualified academic as
Lecturer (Level B) in Multiplatform Journalism. The successful applicant
will have a strong track record of research publications and/or grants
relative to the level of appointment, and demonstrated successful
teaching experience. They will have relevant industry experience, a
strong understanding of current journalism practice, and the ability to
teach video/audio production skills for multiplatform content. The
successful applicant will be expected to: develop, convene, and review
units in multiplatform journalism at undergraduate and postgraduate
levels; lead industry engagement; supervise dissertations; contribute to
a culture of high-quality research scholarship; and make contributions
to the research culture, administration and outreach activities of the
Department, Faculty and University.

is a specialist role for Academic staff who dedicate their workload
contribution to Teaching (40%), Research, (40%) and Leadership and

and Communications. This new continuing role is in Macquarie
University's Teaching & Leadership Job Family. The successful applicant
will be expected to: develop and convene units in Media and
Communications at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; contribute to a
culture of scholarship; engage with relevant stakeholders in the
community and industry; and contribute to the administration and
outreach activities of the Department, Faculty and University.
