(Level B) $102,952 to $121,779 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

2 x continuing positions available immediately.

An opportunity for two Lecturers to join the team to undertake teaching and research in Media.

The successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum design in the areas of visual communication, digital media, emerging media technologies, platform infrastructures and algorithms, and/or media and communication studies. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current media industry practices and technologies and have a proved track record of high-quality research. You will have the ability to supervise students in media and media industry research. Candidates must have a PhD in Media Studies or a closely-aligned discipline, and the ability to demonstrate relevant professional or industry experience will be an advantage.

To be successful you will need:

    PhD in Media Studies, or a closely aligned discipline.
Proven ability to teach and develop curricula in one or more of: visual communication; digital media; emerging media technologies; platform infrastructures and algorithms; media and communications studies. Demonstrated capacity for excellence in face-to-face, online and mixed-mode teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Proven record of high-quality research, including a demonstrated capacity to attract research grant and/or consultancy funding. Thorough knowledge of current media industry practices, standards and expectations.
