*JOB opportunity*

Royal Holloway is excited to launch StoryFutures <>, part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Creative Industries Clusters Programme <>, funded through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund. StoryFutures is an ambitious project that will provide an R&D base for screen industries to meet the challenge of next-generation storytelling, producing compelling content for emerging creative technologies, focusing particularly on immersive experiences.

As part of StoryFutures, we are looking for a Postdoc to work on audience analysis. <>This is a full time, three-year post, available from 01 October 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.

‘Research Fellow: Next Generation Audiences’ will join the new research team working closely with colleagues across StoryFutures and some of the world’s leading creative companies. The post will be part of ‘Audience Insight’, one of four main project themes, specifically focusing on a long-range analysis of youth engagement and responses to immersive experiences and increasing personalisation of content to inform creative screen and technology industry practice. Alongside other post-doctoral researchers, the post-holder will be expected to provide short-term insight reports on audience use-cases for StoryLab. The primary purpose of this dynamic and industry-facing role is to produce R&D insight that returns value to StoryFutures partners and SMEs within the Gateway Cluster, fostering greater collaboration between Royal Holloway and industry partners.
