*Call for Proposals Joint MeCCSA Practice Network/ Journal of Media 
Practice Education (MPE) Annual Symposium 2019*

**

After a successful 2018 symposium at Lincoln university, the Journal of 
Media Practice Education and the MeCCSA Practice network are calling for 
proposals to host the 2019 annual symposium.

This one-day symposium is an annual event dedicated to the sharing of 
teaching and research of practice within higher education. The symposium 
hosts will guest edit a special issue of MPE, publishing work presented 
at the event, in collaboration with the journal editor and publisher for 
an edition of the Journal in 2020. Institutions interested in hosting 
the 2019 edition of the symposium are invited to submit proposals.

Proposals should be no more than 2 pages and include:

· Institution and department

· Leadership and management personnel

· Proposed title of the symposium

· Theme of the symposium and accompanying rationale
· Proposed date and location (preferably in the month of June)
· Suggested speakers, format, venue and any other logistics
· Financial arrangements: i.e. costs and income streams. How much 
requested from MeCCSA

· Proposed budget detailing costs (e.g. catering, travel, bursaries, 
speaker fees, ticket costs etc).

Please note that the MeCCSA practice network will provide a contribution 
to part-funding the event however it is expected that the host 
institution will adequately support the event through securing its own 
funding.
