The School is seeking to recruit a teaching fellow with good academic or 
industry experience to contribute to the MA programme Global Media 
Management (WSAgmm) and related programmes.
The ideal candidates will have up-to-date knowledge of academic and 
industry issues and debates in digital media culture, social media & 
network society, global issues and globalization, and/or mobile culture 
and platforms. Experience in the teaching of methods for qualitative 
media and media industries research would be desirable. The candidates 
should be able to teach on a large MA programme with a significant 
international cohort, in collaboration with the teaching team and under 
the guidance of the programme leader.
The role: You will be required to help deliver an innovative teaching 
programme, utilising different teaching methods. Working with the 
existing staff team you will lead workshops and seminars, deliver 
lectures and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum and 
innovation in teaching. Experience of teaching international students 
would be desirable. Under the guidance of the programme leader you will 
assist with the administration, assessment and recruitment processes. 
You may also contribute to related postgraduate programmes according to 
your expertise.
Course background: WSAgmm is focused on global media in a critical and 
digital context, taking into account the network cultural landscape as a 
background to understand communication. The course engages with NGOs, 
public communications and the wider issues in technologies, social 
practices and critical case studies of globalization. Covering 
contemporary topics ranging from gamification to citizen journalism, 
studentslearn about organisations’ communications strategies and 
management practices, with a focus on how ideas are developed and how 
audiences and users respond to them. WSAgmm focuses on networks and 
mobile cultures and aims to develop academically minded participants 
that have a good understanding of the changes in media industries 
including the non-profits.
