THE BFI MEDIA CONFERENCE

Thurs 28 & Fri 29 June 2018, BFI Southbank, London

A unique CPD offer for teachers of film and media, aimed at Secondary but with lots to offer for HE: Thirty sessions over two days, an exciting mix of new and innovative ideas from the worlds of the screen industries, teaching and research.

Our industry plenary speakers are Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (actor, writer, director and producer) and Angela Jain (Managing Director, ITV Studios Entertainment) with further industry speakers from Channel 4, BBC, BBFC, Ofcom, Broadcast Magazine, Kantar TMS, BFI and Universal Pictures Int’l UK.

Research speakers include Anamik Saha on ‘Race, Media and Social Justice’, Anastasia Kavada on ‘Live History – Citizen Journalism and Mobile Video’, Dan Jackson and Emma Pullen on ‘Reframing Disability – Channel 4 and Paralympic Broadcasting’ and Andrea Esser on ‘How Danish TV Drama Series Captured the UK.’
