IC Journal (http://www.ic-journal.org <http://www.ic-journal.org/>) is 
happy to announce the publication of issue number 14 entitled “Public 
service and activism for the democratization of the media”. IC’s new 
issue examines the presence of a “representative gap” which increasingly 
disconnects media from the citizenry as exposed by recent events such as 
Brexit or Donald Trump’s victory in the USA. Both Public Service Media 
and media activism are called to play a part in this juncture.  The 
issue has been edited by Dr. María Lamuedra and Dr. Manuel Broullón.
