*OI^2 Conference: From Passive Audience to Active Citizen*

The Observatory for the Study of News Media Innovation in the Digital 
Era (OI^2 ) <http://oi2media.es/>, a research platform established by 
the Spanish public television (RTVE), the Universitat Autònoma de 
Barcelona (UAB), and the University CEU San Pablo (Madrid), is 
organizing a conference to analyze and study innovation in, new formats 
of television news, and audiences’ participation and interaction with 
the media. The event will bring together researchers from the academy 
and the media industry from all over the world.

The conference will be held at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the 
University CEU San Pablo (Julián Romea 23, Madrid).

You can participate in two different ways: 1) presenting a communication 
and/or poster, or 2) attending the roundtable and events.

There is no registration fee, but advanced registration for the 
conference is required. Space is limited. Reservations will be accepted 
in the order they are received. To receive conference certificate,
