We are pleased to announce a fully-funded 4-year PhD Studentship/GRA
opportunity at CAMEo Research Institute for Cultural and Media Economies

This studentship is offered in conjunction with CAMEo’s research partner
Attenborough Arts Centre (AAC) which specialises in the programming of
inclusive and accessible art and strongly supports the work and
commissioning of disability-led art and artists. The successful
applicant will work with CAMEo and AAC to develop a PhD project that
ideally focuses on some aspect of ‘_disability, work and the cultural
economy_’, broadly defined.
We particularly welcome outline PhD proposals and applications from
suitably qualified applicants who can show evidence of an interest in
one or more of the following (or closely related) topics: disability and
the arts; disability and cultural work and employment, inclusivity and
accessibility issues in artistic and creative work, cultural
participation and inequality; careers, work and employment for disabled
or disadvantaged groups.
The successful applicant will receive an annual salary/stipend package
worth £14,777 and a UK/EU tuition fee waiver. The positions will
continue for four years, subject to a satisfactory annual progress review.
