Mon Nov 06 20:22:59 GMT 2017

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Associate to collaborate with Prof. Alan Finlayson & Dr. Robert Topinka on the project “_Political Ideology, Rhetoric and Aesthetics in the Twenty-First Century: The Case of the ‘Alt-Right’”_ which is funded through an AHRC Grant. The project aims to develop and extend our understanding of the ways in which contemporary politics and ideology are being transformed by digital media culture. It will do so through a case-study of the so-called ‘Alt-Right’ and related political ideologies and groups. The successful applicant will be involved in the organisation and management of the project, and the running of workshops and symposia, while playing a full role in the research project. They will contribute to the development and testing of theories and methods, the gathering of online and offline materials for analysis, and the writing up of findings for academic publications.

The research will be based at the University of East Anglia in the School of//Politics, Philosophy, Language & Communication Studies.//
