Research Officer (Critical data literacy, creative media and social
equality) - 0.3 full-time equivalent

University of Brighton, School of Media

The University of Brighton wishes to appoint a part-time, fixed-term
Research Officer to work with PI Dr Aristea Fotopoulou
(http://arts.brighton.ac.uk/staff/aristea-fotopoulou) in the project
"Critical data literacy, creative media and social equality". The role
will involve undertaking a literature review, as well as organising
workshops, interview transcriptions and basic analysis of field work
material.
You will be based in our new Centre for Research Excellence ''Digital
Media Cultures', an interdisciplinary knowledge network spanning
computing, social science, media, art and design.

In addition to a relevant degree, you will have an MA or equivalent
professional qualifications and experience. Experience and/or knowledge of
data visualisation, data-driven technologies and society. Competent IT
skills are also essential, as are a high level of analytical capability
and the ability to communicate information clearly.

This role is available immediately for approximately three months.  More
