[ecrea] The Community Media Conference, 23rd September, Bristol, United Kingdom

Wed Sep 06 19:45:27 GMT 2017

This email is to invite members of this mailing list to this year's Community Media Conference <https://cma2017.eventbrite.co.uk> taking place in Bristol on Saturday 23rd September. We also have the Community Radio Awards <https://communityradioawards.org.uk> following straight after the Conference.

The theme of this year's conference is ‘Voices in a Changing World'. The Conference will explore how community media can stay relevant and responsive to global events that impact at a local level, and how diverse voices and viewpoints strengthen communities for positive social benefit. The Conference will also address funding issues, community media business models, fostering community development with community media, and an update on small-scale DAB radio.

The Conference agenda is nearing finalisation and can be viewed on the booking page here: https://cma2017.eventbrite.co.uk/

The Conference venue is The Station <https://www.creativeyouthnetwork.org.uk/the-station> in Bristol, home to Ujima Radio <https://www.ujimaradio.com/>, Station of the Year in last year's Community Radio Awards.

The Community Media Conference brings together broadcasters, producers, community developers, publishers, media enthusiasts, creatives and academics for a day of learning, exchange, and celebration with inspiring speakers, workshops and networking opportunities.

To find out more about the Conference and how to book - including for the Community Radio Awards in the evening after the Conference - visit the Conference Eventbrite page <https://cma2017.eventbrite.co.uk>.

Do contact the CMA office if you have any questions about the Conference on +44 (0)114 279 5219 - we hope to see you there.

All the best  for now
