Communication Law and Policy, and Media Industries and Cultural 
Production. The keynote speaker is Eli Noam, Director, Columbia 
Institute for Tele-Information, Columbia University, New York. Eli is 
the world’s leading expert on media ownership (see the link to the 
definitive 1400 page book he edited on the topic, below) and a major 
authority on the internet, telecommunications and broadband.

The Future of Media Content: Interventions and Industries in the 
Internet Era
15-16 September, University of East Anglia, Norwich

Keynote speaker: Prof Eli Noam, Columbia Business School
Keynote stakeholder panel: Glenn Gowen, Head of Audiences at ITV; Ben 
Weston Head of Factual at Reef Television independent production house; 
Jo Dipple former CEO of UKMusic, and Ofcom
And a special YECREA Panel in engaging with stakeholders for research 
and impact: Karen Donders, Maria Michalis, Tim Raats, and John Street 
discussing getting access to individuals and data, doing consulting 
work, getting stakeholders involved in impact work and events, and much 
more.
Excellent presentations on cutting edge research topics such as the 
funding of content, the roles of fans and of algorithms, redefining 
journalism and news, and what might be "chilling" or constraining 
content. Participation including lunch & coffee breaks: £50/£40(unwaged)

Getting there: Norwich is easily and cheaply accessible by train via 
London Liverpool Street, Cambridge, Sheffield and even Liverpool Lime 
Street stations. Parking is also available on the UEA campus.
