The University of Stirling is looking for Lecturer in Television 
Development and Production and Lecturer in Journalism (Broadcast) to 
join a vibrant Division of Communications, Media and Culture. Please see

The University of Stirling's Division of Communications, Media & Culture 
(CMC), ranked 6th in the UK for Film and Media Studies (The Guardian 
2018), is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced 
candidate at Lecturership (Grade 8) level to develop postgraduate 
production provision, to deliver practice based teaching to 
undergraduates, and to undertake administrative duties as appropriate. 
This will be a key appointment in expanding provision within the key 
strategic areas of audio and video production, digital media and 
journalism, through an emphasis on creating high quality factual 
content. The appointee will contribute to future curriculum planning in 
partnership with the Head of Production, and will take a leading role in 
the development and delivery of the exciting new postgraduate production 
programme, which will have industry involvement at its heart. Applicants 
for this post should have recent and relevant professional involvement 
in development and production, as well as experience of teaching 
television research and production skills in the Higher Education sector.

*_Lecturer in Journalism (Broadcast) (0.5)_*
The University of Stirling's Division of Communications, Media & Culture 
(CMC), ranked 6th in the UK for Film and Media Studies (The Guardian 
2018), wishes to fill a part-time (0.5) open-ended position in broadcast 
journalism. The postholder will provide academic subject leadership at 
lecturer level teaching on core and optional modules in Journalism 
Studies and other programmes within the Division. The division offers 
pathways in Journalism, Film and Media and Digital Media. The 
appointment is designed to enhance the level and quality of 
practice-based learning in journalism studies, providing professional 
and industry credibility to our offer. The focus of the post will be on 
broadcast journalism – primarily radio. The ideal candidate will also 
have print, magazine or online experience, and be capable to 
contributing to a wide range of journalism modules.
