[ecrea] Untold - Digital Storytelling at UEL
Mon May 22 13:50:51 GMT 2017
UEL is hosting Untold a week-long programme of activities exploring
Digital Storytelling theory and practice from across the world.
Digital Storytelling is a workshop based process where people with
little or no experience of media production learn to tell a personal
story using their own material. It is widely used in community
settings, in the museum and archives sector, by healthcare
professionals, in Higher Education, international development work and
in youth work.
We are now able to offer places at two special events which will be of
interest to academics using participatory media methodologies, media
practitioners and those concerned with representation and voice in the
media.
1. A one day Un-Conference on Weds 12th July where academics,
practitioners and community groups can come together to both share
experience of Digital Storytelling and develop new participatory media
projects. 2. A one day masterclass in Digital Storytelling Facilitation
on Thurs 13th July.
UnTold UnConference
This is an opportunity to join academics, practitioners and activists
from around the world on the development of new Digital Storytelling
projects across six themes. As well as UK participants, attendees are

• Digital Storytelling in Health and Social Policy

Attendees will be asked to participate in two workshops and to
contribute directly to the development of new action research
initiatives within the specified areas. There will be opportunities to
join research initiatives which will continue beyond the life of the
