The next edition of the Besides the Screen conference will explore 
emerging trends on volumetric imaging and virtual reality, going through 
the long history connecting geography and geometry to optics.

Besides the academic programme, the event will host audiovisual 
performances, installations, screenings, and a 360 video showcase.

Talks by Michael Naimark (USC/NYU/MIT), Mei-Ling Wong (Scatter), Joanna 
Zylinska (Goldsmiths, University of London), Matthew Jones (De Montfort 
University), VJ Roger S (United VJs), Tadeu Jungle (Academia de Filmes), 
Raquel Garbelotti (Ufes), Fernanda Bruno (UFRJ), Hugo Cristo (Ufes), 
Paola Barreto Leblanc (UFRJ) and Erick Felinto (UERJ).
