[ecrea] Experimental (Digital) Photo School at The Photographers' Gallery

We will be once again be hosting a number of workshops as part of our
Experimental Photo School Geekender at The Photographers’ Gallery on 5-
7th May which may be of interest to you and your students.
The weekend will launch on Friday night with a new commission by
Morehshin Alllayahri <http://www.morehshin.com/> on the Media Wall, who
will also be giving an artists’ talk on her practice which explores
digital colonialism, dark goddesses and the political potential of 3D
scanning.
The programme includes:
* Machine’s Eye View, a workshop exploring machine vision from the
perspective of neural networks with artist Gene Kogan:

* Workers’ Education in the Age of Intelligent Machines, a half day
offsite workshop with Adam Brown and Nicolas Malevé exploring the
precarity of the photographic worker in the coming age of machine

* a two day workshop, Programming for Photographers

* 'According to the Internet', a workshop on Image-search Optimisation

* On Sunday afternoon, artists working with 3D scanning,
photogrammetry and hacked image scanners will be taking over our
studio floor to give visitors a taste of expanded photographic
practices (free, drop in).
