De Montfort University's Faculty of Technology wishes to appoint an
Associate Dean (Academic). 3 Associate Dean posts are being introduced
into each Faculty to strengthen senior leadership in the following
areas: Academic (Teaching and Learning), International and Research and
Innovation. As Associate Dean (Academic) you will be working in the
forward thinking Faculty of Technology you will provide faculty-wide
academic leadership, academic management and student support management.
You will work closely with the Faculty Dean, Executive and the
university's Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) to contribute to DMU's
Teaching & Learning Strategy and develop innovative approaches to
improving student attainment, retention and satisfaction.
With experience of teaching and curriculum development in Higher
Education, you will be an excellent communicator and able to present
information in a readily understandable manner. Industrious and
dependable, you will be empathetic to students needs and concerns. You
will have effective and proven leadership skills, with high personal
impact and with the ability to represent DMU at the appropriate level.
