*Ways and Challenges to Responsibility (June 2-3, 2016)*

*Call for Papers*

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (University of
Bucharest, Romania), the Association of Trainers in Journalism and
Communication (AFCOM) and the Lumière University Lyon 2 (France)
organise the 4^th edition of the international conference *Understanding
Transition. *This year the theme of the conference is *Ways and
Challenges to Reponsibility*.

Presentations based on empirical research and on sound theoretical
approaches are invited on topics such as:

-Evaluation criteria for professional responsibility and accountability

-Responsibility and the public sphere

-Responsible journalism

-Corporate social responsibility

-Dialogic communication and excellent organizations

-Organizations and companies – codes of ethics and codes of conduct

-Integrity and ethics in universities

-Ethics of advertising and the moral choice

-Responsible citizenship

-Political responsibility

-Government responsibility

-Ethical codes and practices within political parties

-Digitalization and responsible consumers/clients/citizens

-Social networks – a means of shaping social responsibility towards
migrants

-Passive versus active responsibility

-Media representations, moral agency and responsibility

-From principles to the real moral life: the ethical codes and the need
of practical wisdom (/phronesis/) for making concrete ethical decisions

-Any other topic related to the main theme of the conference.

The conference languages are *English and French.*

*Notification of acceptance: May 10, 2016*

*Deadline for registration fee - May 20, 2016 *

*AFCOM members – 150 RON (the 2016 AFCOM membership fee)*

*Non-AFCOM members - 225 RON/ 50 euro *

*PhD students – 100 RON/ 25 euro *

*Deadline for complete manuscripts: August 15, 2016*
