£68,844 to £87,498 per annum

We are now seeking exceptional candidates to join us in our new Faculty
of Arts & Humanities.

& Performing Arts - The school brings together some of the most highly
ranked courses and two of the most innovative and dynamic departments in
their fields
Weâve been educating some of the worldâs leading artists, designers,
creative practitioners and thinkers since 1843 and weâre proud of our
successes and achievements. We have won the Queenâs Award for Further
and Higher Education and our courses include some of the most highly
ranked in the country and our alumni include an Oscar winner (National
Academy Awards), the Queens Portrait painter, Film Directors and TV
Producers, as well as Automotive Designers in most of the leading
studios around Europe. In the RAE2014 for Art and Design, Media and
Performing Arts staff were ranked 6th in the UK for impact.
Reporting to the Deputy Dean this is an opportunity for an outstanding
individual to lead the School of Media & Performing Arts. You will offer
academic leadership and direction to maintain its growth and enhance the
quality of its provision. You will ensure the continued development of
the international profile of the School across all its activities. You
will manage the Schoolâs resources, including five Associate Heads of
School for specific portfolios, a highly capable staff team and a
devolved budget, to efficiently achieve its Corporate Plan objectives.
You will have proven experience as an operational academic manager. You
should possess a PhD, in a relevant subject area (or an equivalent level
of professional experience and standing) You will be able to demonstrate
a successful academic record built on outstanding teaching, innovation
and research, together with a strong publication record. Professorial
status will be considered for suitable candidates.
