*Ross Beach Chair for Mass Communications*

The A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications invites
applications for the position of *Ross Beach Chair* for Mass
Communications with a starting date of August 14, 2016. Applicants must
have primary research and teaching expertise in the area of electronic
media, broadly defined, in mass communications. A wide range of
theoretical and methodological approaches will be considered.

The successful applicant will have a record appropriate to the ranks of
*associate* _or_ *full professor* with an outstanding ongoing research
program that can advance the A.Q. Miller School’s 2025 strategic plan

Evidence of external funding is desired. The successful applicant also
will have a track record of teaching excellence and experience mentoring
graduate students and master’s theses. A Ph.D. in mass communications or
a related field is required.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment and
ability to work effectively with diverse populations. The A.Q. Miller
