*Call for Applications: Full-Time Teaching Position in Film, Photography
and Multimedia Production *

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) of Al Akhawayn
University in Ifrane (AUI) invites applications from qualified,
enthusiastic candidates for the position of lecturer of Film,
Photography and Multimedia Production effective as of Fall 2015.

*Responsibilities*: Teach undergraduate courses in photography, film and
multimedia production and related areas of digital photography, video
production, art and design, graphic design and other related courses.
Students are Communication Studies majors or they come from a variety of
disciplines across the University. The candidate will also be expected
to teach upper level courses in his/her specialty, hold regular office
hours, and participate in extracurricular activities (e.g.
internship/thesis supervision, independent study, School committees,
etc.). Scholarly research productivity and service to the program, the
school, and University are expected.

*Qualifications*: Earned an MFA or MA in Film studies or related fields,
coupled with professional experience in photography, video and film
production. Candidate must have a strong background in video production,
narrative filmmaking, and emerging forms of interactive media. Candidate
is expected to demonstrate excellent teaching, develop an independent
academic or creative program, and enjoy mentoring students. Teaching is
conducted in English, and a working knowledge of Arabic and/or French is
recommended. *Salary and Benefits: *AUI offers competitive compensation
and benefit packages commensurate with qualifications and experience.

*Application Procedure: *Interested applicants should submit an
application package by email to Professor John Shoup, Chair of the SHSS

must include all of the following:
1) a cover letter,
2) an updated résumé,
3) three* letters of recommendation on letterhead,
4) a statement of your teaching philosophy, and
5) a media portfolio.
* At least two of the three letters of recommendation should be from
academic referees who can attest to your teaching abilities.

*Deadline: *Review of applications will begin immediately and continue
until the position is filled. However, it is preferred that all
applications be submitted prior to May 31, 2015.
