The Faculty of Arts is one of five faculties at the University of
Adelaide. The Faculty is steeped in history with its roots beginning
over 125 years ago. Its arts degree was the first degree offered at the

The School of Humanities is one of four schools in the Faculty of Arts.
The School comprises the Departments of Classics; English and Creative
Writing; European, French, German and Spanish Studies; Linguistics;
Media, Philosophy, History and Art History. With such a diverse range of
departments, the School offers an interesting, vibrant and
intellectually stimulating place in which to work.
This role involves the teaching of a variety of undergraduate courses in
the Bachelor of Media program, including the first-year course
Story/Technology, where your focus will be on digital storytelling and
related cross-platform production. You will need to demonstrate your
knowledge and skills in working with the latest media technologies.
Expertise in the area(s) of web and mobile platform design within a
conceptual or theoretical framework will be highly regarded.
Salary: Lecturer (Level B) $86,147 - $102,302 per annum
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% may apply.
Term of position: This continuing position is available from 13 July 2015
Position requirements
To be successful you should have:
* PhD in Media Technology, Creative Media or Media Studies with a
digital production focus
* Experience in teaching media design and technology that shows
ability to innovate and support high quality student leaning outcomes
* Demonstrated practical experience of teaching in areas including
web design, mobile platforms design, social media design or user
experience design within a conceptual or theoretical framework
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills in working with the latest
media technologies
