Zeppelin University invites applications for a
Professorship in Communication Studies
The professorship is a full time position with a focus in the field of digital communication.
We address applicants both from social and cultural sciences who work in this field of research. Applicants should demons- trate their ability to publish in internationally recognized peer-review journals and to successfully acquire research funding. The successful candidate should contribute to teaching in Methods of Empirical Social Research in our University. Hence, he or she should command a broad knowledge of methods and techniques in this field, especially profound knowledge of quantitative methods. The successful candidate will be involved in teaching in the core curriculum of our fully-accredited B.A., M.A., and doctoral programs. The position includes the supervision of bachelor, master, and PhD theses.
The appointment should start in January 2016, or as soon thereafter as possible. Applicants should demonstrate excellence in research and pub- lication, undergraduate and graduate teaching capabilities, and a com- mitment to interdisciplinary research. Qualified candidates must have a PhD as well as a post-doctoral lecturing qualification (or equivalent quali- fication) and a distinguished record of excellent research and teaching.
