[ecrea] III International Conference on Media Ethics
Fri Jan 23 10:38:28 GMT 2015
DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SUBMIT ABSTRACTS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE III
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MEDIA ETHICS
Deadline for the submission of abstracts to participate in the III
International Conference on Media Ethics
(http://congreso.us.es/mediaethics/index.php/es/) has been extended to 8
February, 2015. The conference will take place in Seville on 24, 25 and
26 of March. The deadline for the submission of full papers is 28 February.
In response to the request of some researchers, communication papers can
now be delivered through web conferencing programs (such as Skype). A
number of sessions will be devoted to this types of presentations in
hours that take into account the European and Latin American time zones.
The line-up of speakers that will participate in this edition of the
Conference includes Professor John Peters (University of Stanford),
Professor Basilio Monteiro (St. John's University -New York-) and José
Manuel de Pablos (University of La Laguna). This edition of the
Conference has been designed to be an ideal space for scholars to
exchange ideas about new projects and search for international partners.
The Conference will also offer practical courses to improve the quality
of scientific research, like the round table on scientific journals
sponsored by the Revista Latina de Comunicación Social (Latina Journal
of Social communication).
Given the international character of the Conference and the European
time zone, the Conference will take place between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm,
in order to give participants more time to establish relationships with
other colleagues or enjoy the city. The Conference's organisers will
offer complementary social activities to those wishing to extend the
academic sessions with work sessions in a more personal and enjoyable
context.
The papers selected for publication will be part of the Conference's
electronic proceedings, which will be published by Dykinson S.L.
(Madrid) and will have an ISBN, and the endorsement of a scientific
committee. The link to access theConference's electronic proceedings
will be provided during the Conference.
The language of the sessions will be Spanish-only on the first day of
the Conference (24 March), and Spanish and in English on the following
days (25 and 26 March).
