Birmingham City University invites applications for the appointment of 
Director of Postgraduate Studies (Media) based at the Birmingham School 
of Media. The School recently located to £61m city centre media 
facility, with four TV Studios, six radio studios and several large 
photography studios.

The purpose of the post is to lead the postgraduate teaching team and to 
strategically review, and develop the school’s postgraduate courses to 
make them relevant to the needs of home, EU and international students 
and the global media industry.

Requirements:

The post holder will have a track record in leadership of postgraduate 
courses, be preferably qualified at doctorate level and can teach in one 
or more of the following curriculum areas of Media; events, digital 
marketing, PR or music industries. It is desirable to have experience in 
developing and devising teaching strategies.
