Full-time tenure-track position of Professor in Media Communication
with a specialization in Digital Media
The Department of Communication invites applications for a full-time
tenure-track position of professor in Media Communication with a
specialization in Digital Media, at the rank of assistant professor.
Responsibilities
The appointed candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and
graduate courses, supervise graduate students, engage in ongoing
research and publication, and contribute to the academic life and
reputation of the institution.
Requirements
· PhD (or near completion) in Communication or in a related field
· Evidence of dynamism and creativity in teaching and pedagogy.
· Research interests and relevant research experience in issues related
to the history and contemporary transformations of digital media and
digital technologies.
· Proficiency in the French language. The Université de Montréal is a

language of instruction. To renew its teaching faculty, the university
is intensively recruiting the world’s best specialists. In accordance
with the institution’s language policy, the Université de Montréal
provides support for newly-recruited faculty to attain proficiency in

Starting Date
On or after June 1st, 2015.
Deadline
The complete application, including a cover letter, curriculum vitae,
copies of recent publications and research, evidence of teaching
effectiveness and a statement of research and teaching interests, must
be sent by mail or email to the Department Chair by January 12, 2015.
Three letters of recommendation are also to be sent directly by the
referees to the Department Chair by mail or email at one of the
