Fri Dec 12 18:20:29 GMT 2014

The editors of Studies in Communication/Media are pleased to announce:

The Journal of the German Association of Communication Researchers
(DGPuK) has changed to an open access journal.
See:http://www.scm.nomos.de/1/current-issue-and-archive/2014/issue-1/

The E-Journal published by the German Communication Association
(Deutsche Gesellschaft für Publizistik- und
Kommunikationswissenschaft, DGPuK e.V.) aims to present a full range
of studies in communications and media on a high level of quality. It
therefore seeks to publish new research results in the field of media
and communication sciences, gives a general overview of the
international state of research and create a forum for
interdisciplinary discussions.

The journal publishes top blind peer-reviewed papers in German and
English; German contributions will be accompanied by an extended,
quotable abstract in English.

- Extended Papers (up to 60 pages): comprehensive research results
which also reflect topics and subjects that do not fit in the ordinary
paper format.

- Full Papers (appr. 15 - 20 pages): current theoretical and/or
empirical research projects and their results.

- Research-in-brief (appr. five to ten pages): essays concerning the
state of the art of ongoing research projects.

German Extended and Full Papers are complemented by an English
condensed version (Condensed Paper).

Every paper published in the Journal is run through a double-blind
expertise process prior to publication. Generally, two external
reviewers examine the anonymous manuscripts.

Kind regards

Stefanie Averbeck-Lietz, co-editor
with Wolfgang Schweiger, Bernd Blöbaum and Klaus Kamps
