[ecrea] CFP: Film and the Suburbs

Call For Chapter Proposals

/Filmurbia! Screening the Suburbs/ (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2016)
edited by David Forrest, Graeme Harper and Jonathan Rayner

A range of invited chapter writers are already in place for this 
contracted book - which will be published internationally in late 2016. 
However, in order to broaden and deepen the analysis we seek proposals 
for chapters in a number of specific areas.

These areas include sexuality and suburban film (e.g. queering suburban 
cinema); race and the films of the suburbs; conflict and suburban 
film; Asian cinemas and suburban film (e.g. Hong Kong film and the 
suburbs, Indian cinema and the suburbs). Though these are our 
priorities, other areas might be considered.

300 word proposals can be submitted to the editors at:

Closing date for proposals: 16 January 2015 (earlier submission is 
encouraged).

Submitters might consider including a short biographical note related to 
their work in Film Studies.
