[ecrea] housekeeping follow-up > new mailing list website @ http://commlist.org/

Wed May 28 13:40:08 GMT 2014

Dear mailing list members,

My previous housekeeping message concerned the new website of the ECREA mailing list.

This new website doesn't affect your subscription to the list.

If you're already subscribed, there is no need to do anything. Your subscription will simply be continued.

Kind regards,
Nico

Dear mailing list members,

The persistent problems with the ecrea.eu website have necessitated the
creation of a new web home for the ECREA mailing list.

You will find this new website here: http://commlist.org/

It's still under construction, but currently two important
functionalities are already operational:
1/ the all-important guidelines for the mailing list (e.g. explaining
how to post on the list), and
2/ the subscription and unsubscription form (where you can unsubscribe
your email address if you wish to leave the list, or when you want to
change your email address; you can also send the URL of this page to
others if you want to suggest them to subscribe to the list)

Still in-operational is the mailing list archive. The good news is that
I'll open up the archive to all mailing list subscribers, and not only
to ECREA members (as before), and that we're working on an improved
classification and search system. The bad news is that this will take
some time. I apologise for this inconvenience.

With this new website, I hope that the ECREA mailing list - still a
one-person voluntary service to the academic community - will function
more efficiently, and can continue its existence in providing
information to almost 6000 subscribers.

Kind regards,
Nico
ECREA mailing list manager
