Call for Papers – etum (e-Journal for Theatre and Media)


Deadline: June 20, 2014


Etum invites researchers of theatre and media studies as well as 
practitioners of both fields to submit papers to etum 
(ejournal.theaterforschung.de). This peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, 
open-access e-journal publishes papers on a wide spectrum of theatrical 
and media phenomena. Articles can deal with aesthetical, historical, 
practical, theoretical, methodical or pedagogical topics of both theatre 
and the media.

After the successful launch of the first issue this January, with 
international contributions by Professor Johannes Birringer from Brunel 
University London, the artist Zeigam Azizov and many others, the 
editorial team is happy to announce the upcoming of the second issue. 
Articles will be accepted upon blind peer-reviews by two independent 
experts.

Deadline for submissions is June 20, 2014.


The following forms of papers are possible:

*

Short articles

from 2,000 to 5,000 words.

*

Long articles

from 5,000 to 10,000 words.

*

Research through Practice

in which the author presents her or his position through practical 
experience.

*

Essays

in which the author presents her or his position in larger contexts for 
practical or theoretical knowledge.

*

Survey article

provides a summary or an overview of a particular field or field 
methods. The author should provide an overview of her or his topic 
without giving a personal opinion.

*

Commentary

on an article published in etum.

with a background in practice-as-research.
