Information:
The Department is proud to have some of the very talented and active 
faculty members, who have won numerous local and international awards 
and are well-respected in the field. Apart from their artistic sides, 
faculty members are also active researchers in their field of interest, 
who continuously participate conferences and publish in reputable journals.
The Department of Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design was 
recently recognized as one of the Top 100 Design Schools of the World by 
Icograda during their meeting in Taiwan.
The Department also has international collaborations with Belgium (Royal 
Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent), Iran (Vije School of Visual 
Communication), USA (Purdue University and Robert Morris University) and 
leading art and design departments of reputable universities in Turkey.

Job Description:
-Teaching courses in visual communication and design at BA, MA and PhD 
levels. Potential courses that may be given are:
*History of Design
*Concepts in Art and Design
*Art, Design and Media
*Experimental Film and Video
*Design Major(Studio)
*Interdisciplinary Design Studio
*Senior Projects in VACD
*Term Project
*Area Electives Courses

-Supervising students,Undertaking the duty of thesis/project supervision 
in postgraduate programs,
-Maintaining an active academic research and professional creative practice,
-Participating in Department, Faculty, University and Community service.
-Taking part in committees formed within the operations of the 
department, faculty and university,
-Undertaking other duties in academic or institutional activities,
-Establishing contact with international universities/institutions or 
organisations,
-Finding financial resources through designing research projects,
-Supporting young academicians in increasing the research and 
educational performance for professors.

Qualifications:
-Possessing the "qualifications" specified in Eastern Mediterranean 
University's   "By-law for Staffing and Employment for Academic Staff" 
for the position of the appointment.

-Meeting the minimum academic evaluation criteria specified in Eastern 
Mediterranean University's "Academic Staff Title By-Law" for the 
position of the appointment.
-Possessing up-to-date scientific publications in the relevant field,
-Possessing high potential for research and publication,
-Possessing high potential for teaching/education (Colleague, 
administrator reports, student evaluation results, samples of 
educational materials designed by the applicant, samples of previous 
course/lab/studio  work  demonstrating the teaching/education potential 
may be added to the application file).
-Having an excellent command of the medium of instruction.
